The handover ceremony was held at 9 a.m. on November 24 2016, at the editorial office of Journal of Central China Normal University. Attendees are HUANG Yonglin (party committee member and vice-president of Central China Normal University), LUO Jun (party committee member and minister of organization), new editor-in-chief professor FAN Jun, former editor-in-chief professor WANG Zelong and all editorial members.
Minister LUO Jun read out the party committee’s appoint decision: as what work demands, professor FAN Jun shall hold the position of editor-in-chief with his president position of Central China Normal University Press dismissed, and the editor-in-chief position of professor WANG Zelong will be dismissed. Subsequently, vice-president HUANG Yonglin, as the leader in charge, summarized recent works of the Journal, honored recent achievements with prospects of future word. He also highly appreciated the remarkable achievements of the Journal during professor WANG Zelong’s term as editor-in-chief, and put forward his further expectations for the future development of the Journal.
Professor WANG made his departure speech, where he expressed his firm support to the decision of Party Committee and congratulations to professor FAN. Professor FAN made a retrospect of his early experiences at the Journal, and felt homey of come back to the Journal. He hoped to work together with all editorial members and give the Journal a new momentum for its future development.
The ceremony came to a satisfactory end.
